The vast majority of IPTV activation or connection problems resolve in a few minutes with a methodical check: credentials, configuration entry, then Internet connection. This guide walks each case in the order it typically appears after an order, from a missing activation message to interruptions during playback.
1. You did not receive your credentials
At Punto Mira, activation is immediate: credentials are sent by email or WhatsApp right after the order. If nothing shows up in your inbox, proceed in this order:
- Check the spam or junk folder. This is the most common cause. Also check the “Promotions” or “Notifications” tabs if your inbox automatically classifies emails.
- Check WhatsApp. If you provided a phone number, the credentials may have been sent there directly.
- Verify the email address entered at checkout. A typo in the address is the second most common cause; your order confirmation lets you verify it.
- Contact support if the steps above do not help: it is available 24/7, in French, English and Spanish, and can resend your credentials immediately.
2. The app rejects your credentials or shows nothing
If you did receive your credentials but the app (IBO Player, Bob Player, TiviMate, IPTV Smarters or other) shows an error, the problem almost always comes from entry or configuration format.
Entry errors to check first
- Copy, do not retype. Whenever possible, copy and paste the portal URL or M3U link from the message you received. Manual entry on a remote easily introduces a mistake.
- Watch for ambiguous characters: a zero confused with the letter O, a lowercase l with an uppercase I, a forgotten capital in the password.
- Verify the full URL: the prefix (http or https), the absence of spaces at the start or end of fields (common after a paste), and the port if one is given.
- Use the right format for the right app. Some apps are configured with a portal address, others with an M3U link or Xtream credentials (server, username, password). Use exactly the format mentioned in your activation message.
If entry is correct but nothing loads
- Fully close the app and reopen it, or restart the device.
- Verify the device is actually connected to the Internet by opening another online app.
- On some player apps (such as IBO Player or Bob Player), the device must first be activated from its identifier: follow the instructions received with your credentials, or ask support to verify the activation state.
3. The picture freezes or cuts out (buffering)
Interruptions during playback generally indicate a local connection issue rather than a subscription issue. Check in this order:
| Symptom | Likely cause | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Cuts on every channel | Insufficient bandwidth or Wi-Fi | Speed test from the device, switch to Ethernet or 5 GHz Wi-Fi |
| Cuts at peak hours | Household network saturated | Pause downloads and other concurrent streams |
| Cuts on a single channel | Stream temporarily loaded | Try another quality of the same channel or come back later |
| Overall app slowness | Device overloaded | Restart the device, close background apps |
- Measure bandwidth from the playback device, at the hour when the problem appears. An HD stream needs noticeably more than SD, and 4K more still.
- Prefer Ethernet cable for the main TV: it is the most effective fix for Wi-Fi-related micro-interruptions.
- Bring the router closer or clear its surroundings if wired is not possible, and restart it: this simple step solves many cases.
- Temporarily lower the stream quality to confirm the diagnosis: if playback becomes stable at a lower quality, the issue is indeed tied to available bandwidth.
4. The programme guide (EPG) is empty or shifted
An empty EPG does not prevent you from watching channels: it is a display issue of the guide, not of the stream. Classic causes are a guide not yet loaded after first configuration, an EPG source to refresh in the app settings, or a wrong time zone shifting the displayed times. Start by forcing an EPG refresh in your app’s settings, then restart it. We have published dedicated articles on this and other recurring questions: see our blog for detailed procedures, app by app.
5. When to contact support — and what to prepare
If the checks above have not resolved your situation, no need to keep going alone: Punto Mira support is available 24/7, in French, English and Spanish. For a quick turnaround, prepare three things:
- your order reference or the email address used at purchase;
- the device and app involved (for example: Samsung Smart TV with IBO Player, Firestick with TiviMate);
- a precise description of the symptom: exact error message, affected channels, timing of occurrence.
With that information, most requests are resolved in a single exchange. Visit the contact page to reach the team, and keep the FAQ handy: it answers the most frequent questions on activation, compatibility and the 48-hour money-back guarantee.
The essentials to remember
Always go from the simplest to the most technical: credentials (spam, WhatsApp), configuration entry (copy-paste, right format for the app), connection (bandwidth, Ethernet, restart), then support if doubt remains. This method covers the vast majority of situations after an order.
